This is an awesome video which talks about chemical reactions
using cookies as an example. It
describes each step and how different reactions occur during the cooking
process. This would be a great video to
show students who are learning about chemical reactions. You could follow up the lesson with students
making cookies and describing the process as they go. They could then look at other foods they cook
and how they are involved in a chemical reaction.

Great article!! Especially around this time of year, when there are a lot of cookies being baked. I have always like Ted Ed and find the videos and lectures they use are very useful when researching different topics or just wanting to learn something new. It probably helps that I’m a closet science nerd!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great video to get students talking about science at home too, especially little ones who like to start cooking with mom. Overall, you could have many different options when incorporating this video for a lesson; especially when you can have a cookie party and some milk during work hours.
Thank you again,
Ken
